Bears look to beat North Cedar for a second time

The Bears take on North Cedar tonight in Class 1A quarter-final action. The game is in Stanwood and starts at 7:00pm. The Bears look to beat the Knights for a second time this season and move on to the semi-finals which take place next Saturday at the UNI Dome in Cedar Falls.
Iowa Prep Sports has posted a short preview:
· Time & place: 7 p.m. at Stanwood
· Records: West Branch is 10-0; North Cedar is 10-1.
· Notable: The top two teams in 1A District 6 meet in a showdown of a Week 9 struggle won by West Branch, 28-21. The third-ranked Bears rallied from a 21-point halftime deficit to win that one. No. 9 North Cedar has gotten through two close postseason battles, edging Turkey Valley 7-0, then knocking off No. 7 Starmont, 36-35 in overtime. West Branch?s second-round win over Wapsie Valley was tougher than the 27-9 final would indicate. The Bears trailed 9-6 in the third quarter before Sid Thompson scored on a pair of TD runs and Jake Sheyko tacked on an interception return for a score.
