The Iowa High School Athletic Association on Monday released the schedules for the 2025 and 2026 high school football seasons.

West Branch will kick off their 2025 campaign on Friday, August 29 at the Little Rose Bowl against the West Liberty Comets, the first of three non-district matchups. The two other non-district opponents are Iowa City Regina and Camanche. The regular season concludes on Friday, October 17th in Bellevue.

• September 26: @ Alburnett
• October 3: @ Tipton
• October 10: Anamosa
• October 17: @ Bellevue

The Varsity schedule for 2026 is the same opponents and order, but locations are reversed. The Fresh/Soph schedule is yet to be determined and will be announced at a later date.

The schedule release comes after the IHSAA announced classifications and districts for 2025/2026 early in March, which put the Bears in Class 2A for the first time since the 1997 season.

The 2025 season will be the first with the team lead by new head coach Matt Hughes.
