This past Saturday night was the 2018 West Branch Football Trivia Night, a fundraiser held every Spring to raise money for the football team.

Once again, the night of fun was held at the Brick Arch Winery in downtown West Branch and featured over 25 teams vying for the prestigious Trivia Champion trophy. This year's champion was team Are You Smarter Than a 4th Grader, who is a first-time winner. The team knocked off four-time defending champs Export the Imports (formerly Bo's Bruisers and Bower Power).

During half time of the festivities, 10 donated items were auctioned off. Those items included Cubs and Cardinals tickets, an incredible hand-made quilt of the Little Rose Bowl, a quarter beef, a Mississippi River boat ride, and much more.

Add together admission and auction items, the night raised $13,000 for the football team, which will go towards practice and game equipment as well as other neccessary expenses such as helmet decals and HUDL.

The entire football program would like to thank everyone involved with and who attended Trivia Night. A big shoutout to Jeni Shiele and the other captains' parents who coordinated the event; it wouldn't have been a success without your hard work.
