On Wednesday, September 26 - before the coronation of the Homecoming King and Queen - there will be a special celebration of the career (thus far) of Bears Head Football Coach, Butch Pedersen.
The school and community are renaming the field in his name.
Wayne Laing (Voice of the Bears for 20+ years) will be the emcee. Many former players, coaches, managers, personnel, and rival coaches will be in attendance to celebrate this wonderful event.
Here is a note from Butch's daugher, Kari, regarding what is asked of those above:
All current and former players and staff please meet in the north end zone (bottom of stairs) to walk out onto the field and be recognized. We will be organizing right after the parade. Please continue to pass this around so everyone can participate. Thank you!!ðŸˆðŸˆðŸˆ
On Wednesday September 26th (after the parade) West Branch Schools will be naming the football field after Butch Pedersen. If you have been or are currently a part of the football program, we invite you to take the field and be honored at the ceremony. Please tag or pass on to all those involved.
