The Bears move to 2-0 after an impressive performance.

Friday night in Wapello, the old saying of "a team improves the most from week one to week two" once again proved to be true as the Bears took down the Wapello Indians 49-14 in an offensive explosion game for West Branch.

As the Bears received the opening kick, things took a turn quickly as Wapello pinned West Branch back at their own six yard line to begin their opening drive. However, that didn't affect the Bears as they marched right down the field for a 94 yard drive, capped off by a 55 yard Tanner Lukavsky touchdown run.

Lukavsky's touchdown run was the first of six-straight scoring drives and 49 unanswered points from the West Branch offense, including three passing connections between QB Beau Cornwell and receiver Brett Schiele.

Oh, and the defense put up a pretty stout performance as well as they held the Indians and their high caliber running back, Ricky Pforts, scoreless until late in the first half. And on the Indians' fourth drive of the game, Tanner Lukavsky picked off a pass and took it back 30 yards for a pick-6 touchdown, the Bears second defensive score in as many weeks.

Check out highlights of the game below, as well as photos, stats, and much more.
