Luke Lenoch earns spot on Des Moines Register's all-state team

Announced this evening by the Des Moines Register is the newspaper's 2015 All-State football selections.

The newspaper has honored West Branch's Luke Lenoch on their Class 1A first team. Lenoch is paired with Dike-New Hartford's Trent Johnson as the two first team running backs.

This season for the Bears, Lenoch rushed for 1,829 yards on 227 attempts, which is good for 8.1 yards per carry. The junior also had 24 rushing touchdowns and a solo receiving touchdown.

In addition to this honor, Lenoch was also recently named to the Iowa Newspaper Association's All-State team and was a unanimous District 5 running back MVP.

Other DSM Register all-state players of note: Jared Brinkman and Nick Phillips from Regina, Levi Jungling and David Kacmarynski from Pella Christian, and Javin Drake from Wilton. Check out the full list here.
