Former Bear Jack Rummells to receive MVC Leadership & Service Award

Jack Rummells, a 2010 West Branch High School graduate and former Bear offensive/defensive lineman, has been awarded the Missouri Valley Conference Leadership and Service award.

The award is given to 10 MVC student-athletes who are in good academic standing, demonstrate good citizenship through good sportsmanship and significant community service, and participate in a sport during the season of recognition.

Along with being an integral part of the University of Northern Iowa offensive line, Rummells volunteers with the Just Read! program along with being a Panther Reading Program volunteer. He also works adamantly with the Special Olympics. He has also volunteered with the Lions Club, UNI Dance Marathon, Rally in the Valley, Junior Panther Day and has been a mentor to troubled youth in the Cedar Valley.
