On Friday night, the new lights at the Little Rose Bowl were turned on for the first time. Doing the ceremonial first turn of the key was head coach Butch Pedersen, assisted by Superintendent of Schools, Kevin Hatfield. Coach Pedersen is very impressed by the new lights and is extremely excited for playing under them on Friday nights. "We are very humble. There have been a lot of memories under [the old] lights that have gone past and we are going to create new ones under the new lights." Superintendent of Schools, Kevin Hatfield was also very impressed and is thankful for the school board's support. "I want to thank our school board and our Facilities Advisory team. We have a really nice plan in the next 15 years and one of our priorities was to upgrade in several areas in terms of Athletics programming and Fine Arts programming. One of our first steps was to get our football field's power back up to speed." Check out the video below for the first turn of the key, an interview with Coach Pedersen and Mr. Hatfield, and spectacular views of the Little Rose Bowl lit up under the new lights.
