Commemoration of 1989 State Championship

We would like to invite all coaches, players, managers, cheerleaders, and statisticians (and your families) who were a part of the 1989 West Branch football team to attend the September 26th game at the Little Rose Bowl. The Bears defeated Logan-Magnolia 20-14 on November 11, 1989 to win their first of three state football championships (1991, 1992). The 1989 season was just the second time a West Branch team qualified for the state playoffs (1988 being the first). West Branch will be playing its homecoming game against the Bellevue Comets, and it marks the home opener of the district football season for the Bears. We will have a pregame ceremony to commemorate this historic achievement. All members of the 1989 team and all support staff will be admitted to the game at no charge. If you have any questions, send an email to westbranchbears@gmail.com or contact Sports Information Director 2 at 319-330-9199. Additionally, this message will be posted on Twitter and Facebook. Please share and retweet to spread the word! Looking forward to seeing many of you there. Go Bears!
