Game Notes

As Ryan Parmely goes, so go the Wildcats. The junior tailback has rushed for 1,951 yards this season - which is good for 2nd in the entire state for Class 1A. He has also rushed for 22 TD. MV quarterback Ben Dzaboff has thrown for 600 yards and rushed for another 507. Dual threat, indeed. During this season, the Bears' Michael Gould led Class 1A District 6 in rushing yardage with 1160, and his 17 rushing TD were also the at top of the list. The Bears needed a game like last week's 47-0 victory over Cardinal to gain a bit of momentum heading into the postseason. History is on the Bears' side as the last time the Bears lost a first round playoff game was in 2002 against Montezuma. In fact, as my memory serves, the Bears are 15-5 all time in first round playoff games.
