Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont leaves no secret: they are going to run the football. Last week, they ran all over Sigourney-Keota on the Cobras homecoming en route to a 23-0 victory. QB Dillon Pigsley scored twice. The Rockets have 5 players with over 40 carries on the season, led in yardage Cory Archer with 565 (8.6 yards per carry). Pigsley has attempted just 47 passes through the first 7 games of the season (19/47 332 yards)...West Branch won its third consecutive game, taking to the road to defeat North Cedar 35-17. RB Michael Gould led the way on offense with 177 yards rushing and a pair of scores. Gould leads D6 in rushing yards this season with 820. Lucas Lamont continued his strong play at QB by completing 8-12 passes for 139 yards and a 28 yard strike to Tyler Donovan at the end of the 1st half. The Bears defense came to play as well, limiting the Knights to 16 yards rushing on 30 carries.

In 2012, West Branch sent their seniors out with a final home victory in style, dominating the Rockets 62-24. QB Cole Cook threw for 2TD and also rushed for a pair of scores. Bo Bower and Cade Jones each eclipsed the 100 yard barrier in the game.
